Conference "Technological Futures Now."

What visions of technological futures are possible - or necessary - when considered from the standpoint of feminist, decolonial and anti-racist critique? How does academic work today help us to understand and challenge the unequal distribution of power, agency and vulnerability that characterises our technological present? The symposium brings together a diverse group of scholars whose work engages with critical questions of racism, imperialism, labour and technology, and invites participants to consider their own research through the lens of "Surrogate Humanity". Confirmed Panelists are Kalindi Vora, Neda Atanasoski, Nishant Shah, Erin McElroy and more TBA. The conference will feature a Feminist AI Networking Session in collaboration with the Feminist AI - Network and The AI Queens* of Bonn. In addition, a student panel will be offered.
