DESCRIPTION:What visions of technological futures are possible - or necess
 ary - when considered from the standpoint of feminist\, decolonial and ant
 i-racist critique? How does academic work today help us to understand and 
 challenge the unequal distribution of power\, agency and vulnerability tha
 t characterises our technological present? The symposium brings together a
  diverse group of scholars whose work engages with critical questions of r
 acism\, imperialism\, labour and technology\, and invites participants to 
 consider their own research through the lens of "Surrogate Humanity". Conf
 irmed Panelists are Kalindi Vora\, Neda Atanasoski\, Nishant Shah\, Erin M
 cElroy and more TBA. The conference will feature a Feminist AI Networking 
 Session in collaboration with the Feminist AI - Network and The AI Queens*
  of Bonn. In addition\, a student panel will be offered.
