However, submitting a successful proposal is complex—from choosing the right funding strategy to crafting a convincing application. This workshop is specifically designed for women researchers and offers hands-on support in developing their own funding ideas.

The workshop covers the following topics:

Basics and logics of the third-party funding system
Strategic selection of suitable funding agencies and formats
Developing a personal third-party funding strategy
The proposal as a distinct genre of academic writing
Arguing convincingly and writing clearly
The review process from a reviewer’s perspective
Dealing with CV gaps and caregiving responsibilities (e.g., parental leave, gender citation gap)
