Assertiveness-Training for Female Researchers
Whether in the lab, during a disputation or on a field trip: everyday academic life can be characterized by a variety of challenges for women in science. In this seminar, we will practice how to face difficult situations confidently and successfully with clear communication and strong self-expression.
A strong impact, presence, individual self-expression, being calm, collected and composed, but also: Defining your borders, retorting to verbal attacks in a direct and respectful manner, being courageous and trusting yourself… this and much more is what we will be training in the workshop. We will practise clear communication and confident self-assertion, as much as mindfulness and meditation. After a lot of practice, movement, fun and experimenting it becomes clear: All of these go together to create convincing self-expression and to support and encourage you for a safe and secure standing in your personal and professional life.
