I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of (Social) Ethics at the University of Bonn. In my doctoral thesis entitled “Alterity Theory of Shame with Levinas, Derrida, and Cixous,” at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Hildesheim, I articulated an understanding of shame as found in alterity theory and, building on this, discussed the meaning of the experience of shame from perspective of alterity theory. As part of the EU-funded Gemini project, I bring my philosophical perspective to the field of AI ethics, in which it has been underrepresented thus far.
