Dalia N. Obiedat is a PhD Candidate and Research Associate at the Department for Religious Studies, Institute for Oriental and Asian Studies, University of Bonn and a Research Associate for Scientific Coordination and Science Communication at IMPULSE – House for Intellectual Innovation and Creativity, University of Bonn. Her research examines digital religion, nonreligion, and the online lives of Arab atheists and ex-Muslims. Using digital ethnography, she investigates how online communities and AI-mediated interactions shape identity, recognition, belonging, intimacy, and meaning, with particular attention to experiences of religious change, gender, and sexuality.
