Dr. Chelsea Haramia is a philosopher whose research takes root at the intersection of science, technology, values, and the environment. She is Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Science and Thought at the University of Bonn, Germany, working on the project Desirable Digitalization: Rethinking AI for Just and Sustainable Futures. She is also an Affiliate and member of the Science Advisory Board at The SETI Institute and has made significant contributions to research on extraplanetary technology and the ethics of space exploration. She is also presently serving on the Management Committee for the European Cost Action Grant Futures-Oriented Governance of Outer Space, and she is co-editor of the open-access journal 1000-Word Philosophy. She serves as an international affiliate of the UK SETI Research Network's Post-Detection Hub and co-chairs their Human Factors Working Group.
