DESCRIPTION:Generative AI is often presented as a groundbreaking technolog
 ical innovation. At the same time\, however\, increasingly problematic sid
 e effects are becoming apparent: the mass production of synthetic content 
 and the erosion of copyright frameworks\, unreliable results in sensitive 
 areas\, and new vulnerabilities to phishing and malware. The environmental
  costs are particularly critical: AI data centers consume large amounts of
  energy and resources\, and their expansion puts pressure on the achieveme
 nt of global climate targets and can lead to significant amounts of electr
 onic waste in the long term.\n\nIn her talk\, Dr. Constanze Kurz\, compute
 r scientist\, publicist\, and spokesperson for the Chaos Computer Club\, c
 ombines technical analysis with a critical assessment of the social and ec
 ological implications of generative AI.\nThe talk will be followed by a fi
 reside chat with guided questions and room for open discussion.\n\nThis ta
