 nch talk\, we will explore the concept of doing visibility in the context 
 of academia. Scientists` visibility can play a crucial role in shaping a r
 esearcher’s recognition\, career development\, and access to opportuniti
 es\, which can be especially important during the postdoctoral period.\nDr
 awing on insights from the Prof:inSicht project\, funded by the BMFTR\, th
 e talk will highlight how conditions and prerequisites for visibility can 
 differ by gender and other intersecting factors. The focus will be on gend
 er-specific challenges. At the same time\, the topic of visibility is not 
 limited to individual action. It concerns the broader academic community. 
 We therefore warmly welcome participants of all gender identities to join 
 the discussion.\nThe aim is to gain a broader understanding of visibility 
 and its underlying mechanisms. The session will include both research find
 ings and theoretical background on visibility.
