DESCRIPTION:This workshop will reflect on the cultural dimensions of worki
 ng\, collaborating and doing research in Germany. Alongside status-quo ana
 lysis and self-awareness exercises\, it will discuss gender specific and c
 ross-cultural communication (styles) with an eye toward helping participan
 ts situate themselves within German/intercultural contexts. Against this b
 ackground\, the workshop will discuss funding opportunities and career opt
 ions in Germany\, conduct a career resource analysis\, and work towards th
 e development of a personal action plan. The workshop will facilitate the 
 co-creation of a safe space for women scientists as well as facilitate pos
 sible networks among participants.\n\nThis workshop also functions as a fo
 llow-up to the "German Academia - An Introduction for Women Scientists" wo
 rkshop on January 16th\, 2025. Participants may choose to attend both work
 shops as a series\, or to attend either one as a stand-alone event.
